Prem Shrivastav scored the winner in the 27th minute as AFC edged past Tech Mahindra for their opening round win in the Vase Inter-IT Football Cup 2025 being played at SK Sports Arena, Wardha Road. The weekend tournament is being organised for the IT teams of the city. In another match, Infosys blanked Infocepts 2-0. Govind Koli scored the opening goal in the 17the minute of play and Aditya Vishwakarma doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Koli was declared man of the match. In another match, HCLTech rallied brilliantly to hold Perficient 2-2. Perficient surged ahead scoring two goals inside five mintues. Rizwan Sheikh (2nd) and Fatir Anwar Khan (5th) were the goal scorers. HCL bounced back strongly with Clement Joseph (8th) reducing the margin and Amal KT (11th) scoring the leveller. Fatir Anwar Khan was declared man of the match.

 

In a high scoring match TCS rode on Piyush Pandya’s four goals including a hat-trick as they thrashed Perficient by four goals to nil. Pandya scored his goals in 2nd, 12th, 18th, and 24th minute.
