The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch Office, and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in the field of Standardization and Conformity Assessment.

 

The MoU was signed in presence of Hemant B Ade, Director and Head, BIS Nagpur Branch Office, and Prof. Prem Lal Patel, Director, VNIT Nagpur. Also present on the occasion were Dr Manmohan Dass Goel, Associate Dean (Consultancy & Industry Interaction), VNIT Nagpur; Prof. Yashwant B Katpatal, Dean (R&C), VNIT Nagpur; Raunak Sukhadeve, Scientist D / Joint Director, BIS Nagpur; Isha Khurana, Standard Promotion Officer, BIS Nagpur; Dr M S Kotambkar, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, VNIT; Dr Nitin Kumar Lautre, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, VNIT Nagpur. This MoU aims to establish a long-term partnership between BIS and VNIT.
