Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Commissioner of Police, Nagpur said, “Police should be considered as protectors of society as they perform their duties among the masses, avoid any commotion’s in the areas and try their best to keep the public in safe hands.” He was speaking as the chief guest at the Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Gandhi Institute of Computer Education & Information Technology, Nagpur Centre on Wednesday at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Auditorium, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
 
The students of the 84th session of the institute were awarded their course certificates. Highlighting the menace of drugs being induced among the younger generation, Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, pointed out that the younger generation has become a big market for drugs due to the stress and pressure faced by them. He talked about obeying of traffic rules by the public and elaborated that they are for the benefit of the people as accidents and incidents can be avoided. “We should be cautious and careful regarding cyber security and take preventive measures by not indulging much in the social media, not sharing personal information and always being alert in order to avoid any incidents,” he added. Rajendra Purohit, Chairman, Dr Sunanda Sonarikar, Secretary, K M Agrawal, Treasurer, Kendra Committee Members Prof. Q H Jeevaji and Rakesh Purohit, Annapoorni Shastri, Director, T L Raja, Joint Director and Local Co-ordinator and Anju Bhutani, Academic Coordinator and Manager were also present at the programme.
