4 students from last batch secure overseas job
After achieving significant success in the recently held placement drive, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has raised the bar even further. The B-school, that has managed to secure coveted placements for all the passout students (from 2023-2025 MBA batch) in top-notch companies, has also succeeded in placing four students in foreign companies. It is now eyeing about 15 international placements in the upcoming drive.
Interestingly, two candidates from IIM Nagpur’s MBA batch of 2024-2026 have already secured placements in a Dubai-based company, Octagon International.
Sukant Mishra, Managing Director of Octagon International, made the announcement in an event held in the premises of the institute in MIHAN on Thursday. Mishra also expressed his willingness to hire more students from the institute. Prof Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, said “The institute is getting connected with many prestigious and globally renowned companies. We are inviting these companies to our campus, which will eventually help us place our students internationally.”
Notably, IIM Nagpur occupies fourth place among all IIMs in the country in terms of placements in foreign companies for 2023-2025 MBA batch, a significant feat considering the institute was established just 10 years ago. The latest placement drive of IIM Nagpur has seen an average salary package of Rs 18 lakh per annum. However, Prof Bhimaraya Metri said the average salary will further go up because of the international placements.
Ideally, foreign placements in IIMs bring to the candidates, salary packages between Rs 50 lakh to over Rs 1 crore per annum.
