Installation Ceremony of Inner Wheel Club of Durg was held during which the office bearers and new working committee members took oath. Durg Mayor Alka Baghmar graced the occasion as chief guest while PDC Chitra Bahadur and PDC Rasika Bahadur were the guests of honor. The new committee members were given a rousing welcome while the outgoing committee members were bid warm farewell. Revika Bedi conducted the proceedings whereas Sneha Mittal proposed a vote of thanks.

 

The new office-bearers included Natasha Dua (President), Sneha Mittal (Secretary), Dr Vibha Singh (Vice President), Bhavna Mansukhani (Editor), Meenal Jain (ISO), Dr Varsha Jawahar (Treasurer), Dr Sujata Iyer and Monika Khetan (Joint Secretary). The new committee began its tenure by giving a cheque of Rs 10,000 for eye surgery of a person living Below Poverty Line and distribution of free lens and glasses after eye chekup of 10 to 15 persons. Over 30 to 35 children of Navoday Vidyalaya were also given stationary, water bottle, tiffin etc. Besides, the members also decided to adopt a traffic intersection in Durg and conducting its beautification. Also, they decided to conduct a handloom Saree event for promoting handloom industry.
