on Friday inaugurated the newly-installed CT Scan and MRI machines at Hamidia Hospital, affiliated with Government Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. On this occasion, he stated that providing accessible, affordable, prompt and quality healthcare services to citizens is the Government’s top priority. He emphasised that Madhya Pradesh will be made a prosperous state only through a healthy populace. Chief Minister Yadav said that with the inauguration of these modern machines, the State’s largest Government hospital has permanently acquired cutting-edge medical diagnostic facilities, which are akin to a lifeline in times of distress and will expedite examinations. He informed that the state government is working to ensure modern diagnostic facilities in all government hospitals and is enhancing amenities for patients. Innovation and Expansion in the Health Sector:
 
The Chief Minister stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, health facilities in the state are continuously expanding. In Madhya Pradesh, hospitals are being launched along with medical colleges on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model, which is a first-of-its-kind model in the country. Under this, interested investors/organisations are being provided 25 acres of land for just one rupee. So far, land has been allocated to 4 medical colleges in the State. The Chief Minister informed that the Government has also launched air ambulance and heli-service for critically ill patients, which has saved many lives. He asserted that improvements in the health sector come not just from policy formulation, but from their effective implementation. Yadav provided information that with the inauguration of the state-of-the-art CT Scan and MRI machines at Hamidia Hospital, approximately 2,000 OPD (outpatient) and 1,500 IPD (inpatient) patients daily will benefit.
 
This will significantly assist the poor in undergoing expensive tests and treatments. He stated that currently, 17 medical colleges are operational in the State. Ujjain is witnessing the groundbreaking ceremony for the state’s first Medicity and Medical College, along with the construction of the country’s largest Medical Device Park in Vikram Udyogpuri. CT scan services are available in 50 district and 3 civil hospitals across the state. There are 2,575 MBBS seats and 1,357 PG seats available in government colleges. Currently, a total of 40 medical colleges (government and private combined), 308 nursing colleges, and 800 Health Wellness Centers are operational in the State. The Chief Minister informed that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, over 4.37 crore Ayushman Niramayam cards have been created in Madhya Pradesh so far.
 
He also mentioned the ‘Rahveer Yojana’, under which the government will provide Rs 25,000 to individuals who contribute to saving a life by transporting a road accident victim to the nearest hospital within one hour. He also stated that the government has decided to honour those who donate their bodies and organs. Present on the occasion were Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare and Co-operatives Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Narendra Shivaji Patel, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Mayor Malti Rai, Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Sandeep Yadav, GMC Dean Kavita Singh, along with senior officials from the Medical Education Department, all doctors from the medical college, and public representatives.
