 THE three-day Vidarbha-level referees’ seminar, organised by Nagpur District Football Association (NDFA) under the auspices of Western India Football Association (WIFA) at Bishop Cotton School, was inaugurated on Saturday. The seminar was organised to train the budding football referees who wish to build a career in the sport. Over 45 referees from Bhandara (4), Wardha (10), Nagpur (11), Chandrapur (2), Yavatmal (4), Amravati (5), Buldhana (4), Akola (6) are taking part in the seminar to gain knowledge of the game. WIFA instructors Dhanraj More and Subramaniam Swamy guided the referees during the theory session which will continue on Sunday as well. Physical fitness will be held on the third and last day of the seminar. Earlier, the seminar was inaugurated by NDFA President Haresh Vora. On the occasion, NDFA Secretaries Iqbal Kashmiri, Dr Stanley Gregory, Dr Kamal Ansari, Mohd Mubin, Bernard D’Souza, Kalim Ansari and others were present.
