In a major step toward compassionate healthcare, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today flagged off a fleet of free government hearse vehicles from his official residence in Bhopal. The initiative, under the Public Health and Family Welfare Department, aims to ensure that even the economically weaker sections of society can conduct the final journey of their loved ones with dignity. As part of the rollout, 148 hearse vehicles will be deployed across the state.
Districts with government medical colleges will receive four vehicles each, while all other districts will receive two vehicles each for their respective district hospitals.
