Tumanchand Sahu and his wife, Ranjita Sahu, a teacher from Dhamtari district, have launched a unique initiative called “Main Hoon Gullak (Mor Naav Bodli)” to instill values of discipline, savings, and dedication in children. They presented clay piggy banks to all students of Government Secondary and Primary School Luge, where teachers and students enthusiastically participated by contributing money. The core aim of “Main Hoon Gullak” is to foster a habit of saving and to impart the importance of sacrifice and dedication.

Children are encouraged to deposit even one rupee daily into their piggy banks, collectively contributing towards larger missions. This effort not only teaches financial discipline but also motivates children to embrace social and environmental responsibility. Tumanchand Sahu explained that the piggy bank is more than just a savings tool; it teaches children that small savings can lead to fulfilling significant responsibilities. Ranjita Sahu shared that the inspiration for ‘Main Hoon Gullak, Mor Naav Bodli’ came from her three daughters.
