Ankita Verma selected for Indian dueball team

 Ankita Verma, a senior player from the Chhattisgarh state Dueball women’s team, has been selected to represent the Indian Dueball team at the South Asian Dueball Championship 2025. The championship, organised by the Dueball Federation of India in association with the Tamil Nadu Dueball Association and Alagappa University College of Physical Education, will be held from August 16 to 18 at Alagappa University College of Physical Education in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.
 
The South Asian Dueball Championship will feature national men’s and women’s teams from six Asian countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Afghanistan, and Nepal. Ankita Verma is the daughter of Manjeet Verma and Sunita Verma and hails from Takapara, Rajnandgaon district, and works as a sports teacher at Neeraj Public School, Pendri. Her coach, Jayesh Mudaliar, stated that Ankita has represented the Chhattisgarh Dueball women’s team in several national competitions. The President of the Chhattisgarh State Dueball Association, Rajendra Kumar Agrawal, Secretary Srikant Das Gupta, Joint Secretary Tarun Bhaskar Gupta, and all office bearers have extended their congratulations to Ankita on her selection for the Indian Dueball team. The Indian contingent is scheduled to depart for Tamil Nadu on August 10.
