The State Government tabled the supplementary budget of Rs 2356.80 crore in the Assembly on Tuesday. The focus of the Government is on infrastructure development, PWD, law and order, Public Health and Engineering, higher education, women and child welfare etc. As far as the supplementary budget is concerned, Rs 1602.30 crore has been earmarked for public health and. A sum of more than Rs 90 crore have been allotted for infrastructure projects. Rs 90 crore for construction of bridges while Rs 10 crore for road development.

In another development, responding to Opposition Congress MLAs’ ‘chameleon’ protest over 27 per cent reservation to the OBCs on the first day of the Assembly, The CM Dr Mohan Yadav reiterate that the government is strongly presenting their point in the court regarding the same. “We committed to provide 27 per cent reservation to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the State. PM Narendra Modi has declared that a proper caste census would be conducted, and its figures would be made public.” Encountering Opposition’s claim, CM also accused the Congress of not carrying out the exercise during its long rule in the country.
