Ramdeobaba University (RBU) Induction Programme 2025 began with great enthusiasm, setting a vibrant tone for the academic year ahead. A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of two distinguished alumni - Harish Duhan, Chairman and Managing Director, South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. batch of 1989, Mining Engineering and Satish Jha, Chairman and Managing Director, Eastern Coalfields Ltd. batch of 1990, Mining Engineering.
The honours were conferred by Satyanarayan Nuwal, Chairman of Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti (SRSS).
The event continued with a presidential address by Satyanarayan Nuwal. He spoke about the importance of behaviour in building one’s character and stressed that success must always walk hand in hand with ethics.
He firmly stated that if ever a choice must be made, one should always choose ethics — as it forms the real base of lasting success.
Harish Duhan, inspired students with his honest journey from rural Haryana to leadership. He spoke of early setbacks, including academic failure, and how determination and belief in oneself shaped his success. His message, “Koshish karne walo ki haar nahi hoti,” strongly resonated. He further urged the students to work on their weaknesses and stay confident with a “Yes, I can do it”.
Satish Jha, delivered a motivating speech centered around discipline, perseverance, and continuous learning. He applauded RBU’s effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP).
He encouraged students to embrace failure as a stepping stone, and credited RBU’s growth to a culture of discipline, transparency, and strong values nurtured by its ecosystem. Nilesh Panpaliya, Chairman of Ramdeobaba Alumni Connect Association (RACA), delivered an energetic address highlighting the alumni’s vital role in industry connect, student support, and global mentoring.
Chancellor Dr S S Mantha and Vice Chancellor Dr R S Pande warmly welcomed the new batch.
