Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has placed more than 800 students across different sectors through its newly consolidated and centralised placement mechanism during the 2024 to 2025 academic cycle. This represents a considerable rise from 568 placements recorded in 2023 to 2024, though it still trails behind the 2,186 students placed during 2022 to 2023.
The placement exercise was spearheaded under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Subhash Kondawar and Placement Officer Dr Bhushan Mahajan. According to official figures, the centralised process engaged over 100 affiliated colleges spanning Nagpur, Wardha, Gondia, Bhandara, Ramtek, Saoner and Katol, with over 10,000 students from the graduating cohorts of 2022 through 2025 registering via a Google Form distributed by the university.
The centralisation initiative, a recent reform by RTMNU, was aimed at providing structured placement support to affiliated colleges, most of which had previously lacked consistent recruiter engagement. Of the 2,186 students placed in 2022 to 2023, a striking 2,154 were from affiliated institutions. Although this figure dipped to 504 in 2023 to 2024, it rebounded to 698 in 2024 to 2025, indicating a steady recovery trajectory and institutional stabilisation of the new model.
