DHABE Memorial Slum Football Tournament organised by the Krida Vikas Sanstha will be played at various grounds in the city from August 5, informs sanstha founder Prof Vijay Barse through a press release.
This tournament, which will last for about a month, will be held in a total of six divisions.
A meeting of the office-bearers was recently held at the organisation’s office in Civil Lines under the leadership of Barse.
The entire programme of the competition was chalked out. Kishor Jichkar, Keshav Lavatre, Mukesh Jambhulkar were prominently present at the meeting.
The competition will start with the matches in the South Zone at Ajni ground. These matches will be played on August 5 and 6. Other league matches in the same zone will be played on August 28 and 29 at Manish Nagar. While the matches in the West Zone will be played on August 6 and 7 at the Municipal Corporation’s Gittikhadan ground. Matches will also be held at Municipal grounds in Sangharsh and Pardi.
Matches in North Nagpur division will be held on August 18 and 19 at Ekta Colony Ground, on August 25 and 26 at Tekanaka and Jaripatka grounds.
Matches will be played on August 29 and 30 at Bezonbagh ground and on September 1 and 2 at Bhilgaon ground. The matches in the Central Zone will be played on August 25 and 26 at Mominpura ground.
Matches in the Nagpur Rural Zone will be played on August 16 and 17 at Seva Sadan ground in Koradi, on August 22 and 23 at Kamptee ground and on September 6 and 7 at Bokhara ground. Winners and runners-up from each zone will participate in the final competition. The finals will be held during September end.
