ICAI Nagpur Branch celebrates 77th CA Day

EVERY year, July 1 is celebrated as ‘Chartered Accountants Day’ across the country. At ICAI Nagpur Branch, it has become a tradition to commemorate this day with great enthusiasm and dedication. The 77th Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation Day continued this legacy with vibrant participation and spirited activities. The celebrations commenced with flag hoisting by senior CA Anil Parakh, Past Chairman of ICAI Nagpur Branch. CA Swaroopa Wazalwar, Vice Chairperson and CA Vinod Agrawal, WICASA Chairperson of the Branch conducted the proceedings and emphasised the importance of unity and professional integrity among members and students. CA Dinesh Rathi, Chairman of the Nagpur Branch said, “It is a proud moment to celebrate the 77th CA Day and pay tributes to the pillars and visionaries of the profession who built its strong foundation”.
 
He acknowledged the enthusiasm of members and students for serving society under the ICAI banner. In a special tribute to 77 years of the esteemed institute 77 members and CA students donated blood and 77 saplings were planted across the city. The day featured multiple welfare and social responsibility initiatives like blood donation camp in collaboration with Dr Hedgewar Blood Bank and Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank, Nagpur.
 
The chief guest of the programme was senior CA K G Budhraja. Tree Plantation Drive under the mission to plant more than 3,500 trees in 3 months started at Delhi Public School, MIHAN, led by chief guest CA Jaydeep Shah, Past President of ICAI and also at Gandhibhagh garden led by CA Abhijieet Kelkar, Past Chairman. A health check-up camp with Getwell Hospital, Dhantoli was conducted with senior CA P Jayakrishnan as the chief guest. Also, a fitness check-up camp with Wildfit was organised. Regional Council Member CA Jitendra Saglani, Chairman WICASA (WIRC), congratulated the members and highlighted the CA fraternity’s commitment as partners in nation-building through ethical and informed professional services. CA Deepak Jethwani, Secretary of the Branch, proposed the vote of thanks.
