Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Women Empowerment and Adivasi Gaurav Sammelan organised at Sarai in Singrauli district on Friday.
He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 54 construction works worth Rs 503 crore in the event.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that Singrauli is far from Bhopal in the map of the state but is closest to my heart. No stone will be left unturned in the development of Singrauli.
Nine thousand Scheduled Tribe families in Singrauli have been given the benefit of patta under Forest Rights. Lakhs of tribal families are taking advantage of other schemes including Dharti Aba Yojana, Janman Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. CM said that Singrauli has the thickest layer of coal deposits in the country. Hence Singrauli is the energy capital of the country.
CM Dr Yadav said that a four-lane road will be built from Bargawan to Parsauna. SDM office and a 100-bed hospital will be built in Sarai after observation.
The Primary Health Center of Mada will be upgraded to a Community Health Center. The contract of the agency which was negligent in the construction of Sidhi-Singrauli National Highway has been terminated. A new agency has been decided and the tender process has been done. After the rains, the construction work of this road will be done at a fast pace.
CM Dr Yadav said that the government is constantly making efforts for the respect of the tribals and the welfare of the poor. Farmers are being given an additional amount of Rs 1,000 per quintal on purchasing ‘Shrianna’ (millets). Wheat was purchased from farmers at Rs 2600 per quintal, which is the highest in the country.
Chief Minister inaugurated the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign by planting a sapling.
MLA Devsar Rajendra Meshram delivered welcome address and put forth various demands related to the development of the area. he expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the approval of 5 CM Rise Schools, 4 Colleges and Gond Project in Devsar Assembly.
Prior to it, on reaching Sarai, Chief Minister Dr Yadav was welcomed with the traditional tribal folk dance ‘Gudum Baja’. He played the tribal folk instrument ‘Madal’ along with folk artists.
He was welcomed by making him wear a colorful tribal cap and presenting a bow and arrow.
CM Dr Yadav honoured the daughters by performing Kanya Pujan. The Chief Minister tasted laddus made from ‘Shrianna’ and ‘Mahua’.
The Chief Minister distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana and other schemes.
District in-charge Minister and PHE Minister Sampatiya Uike, Minister of State for Rural Development Department Radha Singh, MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra, MLA Singrauli Ramnivas Shah, MLA Dhauhani Kunwar Singh Tekam, MLA Sihawal Vishwamitra Pathak, former MLA Subhash Ramcharit, BJP District President Sundarlal Shah, and a large number of local public representatives were present in the function. Commissioner BS Jamod, IG Gaurav Rajput, DIG Rajesh Singh, Collector Chandrashekhar Shukla, S.P Manish Khatri, CEO District Panchayat Gajendra Singh Nagesh and other officials were present on the occasion.
