Dr Ajay Sahai, hailing from Raipur city, was honoured with the ‘Healthcare Icon of the Year’ award by Bollywood actress Amisha Patel in a grand ceremony held in Jaipur on the occasion of National Doctor’s Day. It is known that Dr Sahai has organised hundreds of free health camps and awareness campaigns for remote rural areas, tribals and sensitive Naxal-affected areas and weaker sections of the society for the last four decades. He has tried his best to make the society healthy, clean and prosperous through various means.

 

Dr Sahai is also a film actor, screenwriter, producer and director. He has created various infotainment programmes with the aim of bringing awareness about burning health problems and social evils. Dr Sahai also directed the serial “Parivartan” telecast by DD Kisan, which focused on the Swachhata Abhiyan. He has received hundreds of international, national and regional level honours for his remarkable achievements in the field of medicine, social service and cinema.
