G H Raisoni College of Engineering (GHRCE) has earned a prestigious spot in the Limca Book of Records 2025 for organising India’s ‘Largest Speech Marathon’. This national-level record was set in the category “Most Participants in a Speech Relay – Single Day – Multiple Venues”, and the remarkable feat was accomplished on January 20, 2024. The event was conceptualised and executed by the Department of Humanities as part of its Communication Skills Development Initiative.

 

It saw participation from students across various branches and semesters, who came together for a 12-hour continuous speech marathon. The Patrons of this event are Sunil Raisoni, Chairman, RGI and Shreyas Raisoni, Executive Director, RGI. The honorary mentors are Director of GHRCE Dr Sachin Untawale, Deputy –Director and Dean R&D Dr Santosh Jaju, Deputy-Director and Dean Academics Dr Pramod Walke.
