The Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) on Saturday expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Singal for initiating and leading the impactful Operation Thunder, a major crackdown against the drug mafia in the city. VTA Vice President Hemant Trivedi presented a memento of appreciation to Dr Singhal at the Police Commissioner’s office, lauding the exemplary efforts of the entire police force in making Nagpur safer. Tejinder Singh Renu, Secretary of VTA said, ‘By striking hard on drug networks through Operation Thunder, Nagpur Police has not only curbed a serious criminal nexus but has also instilled confidence among law-abiding citizens.” Expressing his gratitude, Dr Ravinder Singal said, “Combating drugs is a collective responsibility, and with society standing by us, our efforts become even more effective.” Also present on the occasion were Amarjeet Singh Chawla and Veeru Balani, says a press release by VTA.
