The State witnessed varied weather patterns in the last 24 hours, with rainfall limited to specific regions while large parts of the State remained dry. The absence of widespread showers has caused humidity levels to spike, leaving residents across many districts uncomfortable. With no rain relief in most areas, sticky and irritating weather conditions have prevailed, especially during the daytime. Rewa and Jabalpur divisions saw the most rainfall activity, while the rest of the state experienced scattered or isolated showers at best.
Most stations in Rewa and Jabalpur divisions recorded rainfall, while Shahdol saw rain at many locations. A few areas in Narmadapuram, Chambal, and Sagar divisions received moderate rain. Isolated rainfall was observed in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior divisions, while remaining divisions saw dry weather.
Some areas reported heavy to very heavy rainfall, with Churhat topping the list at 125 mm, followed by Barhi (85 mm), Huzur (82 mm), Majhgaon (77.5 mm), Raipur Kurchliyan (75 mm), and Gudh (70 mm). Significant rainfall was also reported in Katni (56 mm), Sarai (55.4 mm), Pachmarhi (54 mm), and Singodi (50 mm).
Maximum temperatures fell sharply (4.4°C–5.3°C) in the districts of Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar, and declined moderately (2.0°C–2.9°C) in Bhopal and Jabalpur.
These were notably below normal in Rewa (–4.3°C), and slightly below normal in Shahdol and Sagar. However, temperatures remained above normal in Indore, Ujjain (+2.1°C to +2.8°C), and appreciably above normal in Narmadapuram (+3.5°C).
On the other hand, minimum temperatures remained stable
across most divisions. They were appreciably above normal (+3.5°C) in the Shahdol division. Cities like Pachmarhi (19.8°C) and Amarkantak (20.9°C) recorded the lowest minimum, while Gwalior (26.9°C) had the highest.
Gusty winds reaching 30 km/h were recorded in Badwani and Rewa. Thunderstorms and lightning were observed across districts in Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, and parts of Panna, Damoh, Sehore, Khargone, Burhanpur, and Morena.
Weather outlook for Sunday: Rainfall with thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in Bhopal, Sehore, Indore, Barwani, Khargone, and other western districts. Many areas in Gwalior, Morena, Rewa, Shahdol, Satna, Dindori, Balaghat, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur may receive showers. Dry weather will prevail in Jhabua, Ratlam, Ujjain, Neemuch, and Mandsaur. Bhopal Weather Specifics: Bhopal recorded 31.2°C maximum and 24.2°C minimum temperature. The city remained mostly dry with drizzle at few location, though humidity stood at 79%. For today, partly cloudy skies with light rain are forecast, accompanied by winds at 20–22 km/h. Alerts & Warnings: The IMD has issued thunderstorm and lightning warnings for over 35 districts including Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Rewa, Morena, and Singrauli. Localised flooding, traffic disruption, and lightning-related hazards are likely. Citizens are advised to take shelter, avoid travel during storms, and stay updated.
