VIJAY Jaiswal pipped Jai Bhojwani in a thrilling encounter of the CP Club Snooker Tournament. Jaiswal won the first frame 76-26 but Bhojwani fought back to level the score 1-1 by taking the second frame 63-26.

 

In a see-saw third frame that could have gone anywhere, Jaiswal kept his cool to win it 69-64 to move into the second round. In other matches, Mohan Manian beat Pratik Brahmane 2-0 (62-50, 41-38); Bhavesh Vasani beat Aman Padam (2-0) 87-07, 82-20 and Sunil Kamwani beat Raj Joshi 2-0 (69-25, 67-36).
