The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Nagpur Regional Office, in collaboration with the State Bank of India and Bank of India, organised two special Financial Inclusion Saturation and re-KYC camps at Mansar and Mahadula Gram Panchayats in Ramtek block in the district recently.
Charulatha S Kar, Executive Director, RBI; Sachin Y Shende, Regional Director, RBI Nagpur; Sujata Lal, Chief General Manager, RBI; Anjana Shyamnath, Deputy General Manager, RBI; Rajeev Sawrav, Deputy General Manager,
SBI; alongside other senior officials from RBI, and representatives of multiple public and private sector banks were present on the occasion.
At the heart of the initiative was facilitating re-KYC (Know Your Customer) updates to keep accounts active, secure, and compliant. Account holders were guided through simple update processes, either through self-declaration (in case of unchanged details) or by providing updated identity documents such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, NREGA Job Card, Driving License, or Passport, and digital re-KYC via Aadhaar OTP or Video-based Customer Identification Process (V-CIP) from home.
The camps saw a huge turnout of villagers.
