In the series of cultural programs organised on the occasion of Shri Krishna festival, Dr Shyama Pandit and group from Bhopal performed the dance drama “Krishnayan”. Through this, the divine plays of the Lord were brought alive on the stage.
The people present were mesmerised by this dance performance. The drama showed that Shri Krishna is a child, a hero, a lover, a philosopher and a warrior. His life is not just a collection of stories, but a vision of every aspect of life. ‘Krishnayan’ is a divine dance journey, which connects us with the various and inspiring plays of Lord Shri Krishna’s life. This journey begins with Krishna Stuti. It has the childish mischief of stealing butter, the amazing valor of Kaliya Mardan, the compassionate protection of Govardhan Leela and the supernatural sweet devotion of Raas. The drama preserved the scenes from Shri Krishna becoming Purushottam to giving Geeta Updesh on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Shri Krishna gives the invaluable message of karma, dharma and knowledge to humans in life. "Krishnayan" is not just a performance, it is a confluence of devotion, philosophy and dance.
