ICAI Nagpur Branch (WIRC) has organised a seminar titled “Exploring Maharashtra Tourism: Govt. Incentives & Role of CAs”. In his welcome address, Chairman CA Dinesh T Rathi emphasized the need for professionals to stay updated about various schemes. Tejinder Singh Renu, President of Nagpur Residential Hotel Association, was special invitee. Highlighting the opportunities in Maharashtra’s Tourism Policy, CA Julfesh Shah, Past Chairman and former Regional Council Member (WIRC), gave a presentation on the policy and its rich array of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives. CA Shah emphasised how provisions like capital subsidies (15–25%), SGST reimbursements, electricity duty exemptions, stamp duty relief, interest subvention, and green energy incentives are poised to drive investment and generate substantial employment across the state.
