Missing girl Archana Tiwari who had been evading police since last 13 days was finally found by GRP Bhopal in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, last night. The police who had investigated every theory kidnapping, poisoning, accident and human trafficking were also stunned when Archana told that her family was pressurising her for marriage and she did not want to get married. SP (Rail) Rahul Kumar Lodha revealed this case in a press conference at Bhopal. Police informed that on August 7, Archana was travelling in Narmada Express to go home but did not reach Katni. On August 8, her brother Ankush Tiwari came to GRP Katni police station and informed about his sister Archana Tiwari’s disappearance. On this, GRP Katni Station registered a missing person report on zero and sent the diary to Bhopal. Railway police started investigation.

Police said that considering the seriousness of the matter, detail inquiry was done. According to police, about 2,000 CCTV footages installed in railway stations Indore, Bhopal, Sehore, Rani Kamlapati, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Pipariya, Kareli, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Bilaspur and cities were searched. Search operation was conducted by SDRF and GRP for about 32 km in Narmada river. From Rani Kamlapati to Jabalpur, different teams were formed and search was conducted on foot. Search operation was conducted in the forest with GRP teams along with forest department from Barkheda to Budni. Later the suspect’s number was obtained through electronic survellience. From which the suspect was identified as Saransh Lokchand. During interrogation, Archana Tiwari told that a few days ago her family members told her that they have seen a prospected groom for her who is Patwari.

And in this way, they were repeatedly forcing her to get married due to which she had become mentally disturbed. She informed police that on August 7 she left Indore for Katni by train 18233 Indore Narmada Express but was not mentally prepared to go home. She stated that “due to Rakshabandhan I left to go home but I decided that I will not come home now nor will I get married until I become a civil judge. Before reaching Itarsi Railway Station I asked for help from my old client Tejender Singh from Itarsi, that I have to get down at Itarsi and go back to Indore, then I also called my friend Saransh. Before getting down at Itarsi I had told Tejender to get down at a place where there are no cameras installed at Itarsi station, then Tejender joined me from Narmadapuram station”.

At Itarsi, Archana got off the train and then went to Indore via Sujalpur with Saransh. After thinking that her family members might come to Indore, she went to Hyderabad. After staying in Hyderabad for 2-3 days, she got information from newspapers and media reports that her case has become quite famous, hence she reached Delhi from Hyderabad on August 11 with Saransh and from Delhi she reached Dhanguhi Nepal with Saransh by taxi. From here she reached Kathmandu. She informed police that no wrong act was done with me by any person. Police contacted me through Saransh. At Nepal border at Lakhimpuri, GRP Kamalapati team arrived along with Bhopal team of GRP police to take her. After safe return of Archana, YC District President Divyanshu Anshu Mishra gave Rs 51000 cash reward to GRP Katni, which has been sent to the S.P (Rail), office, Jabalpur, for locating his ‘Rakhi’ sister Archna Tiwari.
