‘Raipur in Stories and Tales’ held under ongoing ‘Chhattisgarh Rajat Utsav’

As part of the ongoing ‘Chhattisgarh Rajat Utsav,’a special event titled ‘Raipur in Stories and Tales’ was held at the Town Hall on July 19. The programme, organised by the District Administration, celebrated the city’s rich history and literary culture. The event featured guest speakers, poetry recitals, and a theatrical performance, all set against a backdrop of historical glimpses of Raipur.
 
The event’s chief guests were writer Sanjeev Bakshi and Dr Chittaranjan Kar Bakshi shared his administrative experiences and provided a brief overview of his famous novel, Bhoolan Kanda, before reciting a few of his poems. Dr Kar, a historian, discussed the historical context of Raipur . The event also included a performance by the Aatpat Theater Group, which staged two plays: Blind Club Tax Free and Nayi Sabhyata Naye Nameen. The plays were directed by Rohit Bhushanwar, adding touch of contemporary art.
