Byas Kashyap, Congress MLA from Janjgir-Champa, has alleged major irregularities in the Chhattisgarh MBBS Counselling for 2025.
In a statement, MLA Kashyap highlighted concerns raised by the families of candidates, who claim that the merit list released on August 12 includes names not present on the original list of
22,261 eligible candidates submitted by the National Testing Agency
(NTA) to the Director of Medical Education (DME), Raipur. These
unlisted candidates have reportedly been allotted seats in medical
colleges. Kashyap stated that these discrepancies are preventing
hundreds of eligible students from securing admission.
He joined
the families in demanding an immediate, high-level investigation
into the matter. Both MLA Kashyap and the families are calling for
the immediate suspension of the current counseling and admission process until a new and accurate merit list is published to
ensure justice for all eligible students.
