Admission process for BCom (CA) course begins in RTMNU

RTMNU-MIA MoU leads to a major academic course  
 
To bridge the gap between the academic sector and industry, the Postgraduate Commerce Department of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has launched an industry-integrated 3-year B.Com (Corporate Administration) degree course. This is the first time that the university is launching a course connecting the institution with industry. Students will be taught ‘Corporate Administration’ under this course with the help of the industry sector. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and MIDC Industries Association (MIA) in this regard, and the admission process for the course is starting on Monday.
 
The admission capacity of this course is 40, and a student who has passed 12th from any branch and has passed an Engineering Diploma (Polytechnic) is eligible to take admission in this course. This course will be implemented under the Apprenticeship Embedded Education System (AEDP) as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). As per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a certificate will be awarded after 1 year, a diploma after 2 years, and a degree after 3 years in accordance with the multi-level degree system. 
 
Content of the course 
 
This degree course has been started with the aim of providing students with theoretical and practical knowledge of office work, industrial administration, accounting, and industrial processes in industries. Through this degree course, which has been started in the Department of Commerce under the Faculty of Commerce and Management of the university, 1 to 2 months of industrial training will be provided in each semester of the first and second years. Due to this, students will get hands-on experience of industries and will be able to participate in industrial processes in various sectors. Also, each student will get an opportunity to get employment of Rs 10,000 to 15,000 per month in the final year itself. This course is designed to produce skilled, employable, and industrially capable human resources, said Dr Megha Kanetkar, Dean of the Department of Commerce and Management. Interested students should contact the Department of Commerce in the Rao Bahadur D Lakshminarayan area of the university at Law College Chowk from 11 am to 5 pm. Head of the Department, Dr Rahul Kharabe, has appealed to as many students as possible to take admission in this course.
