Shri Swami Raghavendranand Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math addresses RBU students
Addressing the students of Ramdeobaba University (RBU) during the induction function ‘Gyanodaya 2025’ event held here recently, Shri Swami Raghavendranand Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math, Nagpur said that we all are united through the thread of universal consciousness. “In reality, we are not separate. We are essentially one, regardless of gender, caste, or social identity, and that oneness and compassion must form
the foundation of one’s conduct,” he said. Shri Swami Raghavendranand Maharaj told the students to believe in the divine power as he quoted Swami Vivekananda “Each soul is potentially divine.
The goal is to manifest this divinity by controlling nature, external and internal.”
Dr Shailendra Deolankar, Director of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra, and chief guest of ‘Gyanodaya 2025’, explained to the students that education is not merely a means to acquire degrees, but a powerful tool to build character, cultivate empathy, and nurture a sense of responsibility.
“The ultimate goal of education is to make an individual a good human being - intellectually curious, socially responsible, and emotionally intelligent,” he said.
While exhorting the newly inducted undergraduate as well as postgraduate students, Dr Shailendra Deolankar, further said, “Under the flagship programme of Vikasit Bharat, let’s transform India into a product nation. Students are performing assets, and the government is equipping the education sector in the best possible way.”
Satyanarayan Nuwal, Chairman of Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti (SRSS), in his presidential address, emphasized that true knowledge and innovation can only be attained through dedicated exploration, determination, and a willingness to venture beyond the surface.
