As Raksha Bandhan nears, markets decked up with bright Rakhis

 

 

Markets are decked-up for pious Raksha Bandhan festival with attractive Rakhi and dressing materials. Central market places are jam-packed with the sisters who are buying best Rakhi for their dear brothers. Rakhi stalls and shops are decorated with beautiful colourful Rakhi ranging from Rs. 5 to 50,000. Traders are trying to allure customers long range of latest Rakhi designs especially thematic Rakhi. Heavy rush is being witnessed at garment, footwear, cosmetics and beauty products in the city. Busiest market places like Bada Fuhara, Lordganj, Galgala, Gorakhpur, Civic Centre and Sadar markets are the first choice of sisters to get varieties of products in whole sale shops. On the other hand, administration and Traffic police are making all sorts of efforts to avoid traffic jam and fluent traffic operation at crowded market places.

 

Separate parking places have been specified at different market places while entry of four-wheeler and commercial vehicles has been completely prohibited at market places during the festival season. City market places remain opened till late night following the heavy footfall of customers. Police department has also made necessary security arrangements at crowded places to avoid any untoward incident and maintaining law and order arrangements during festival.
