Rs 50 lakh scam in CM discretionary fund Public representatives using hooters on vehicle
On Wednesday, breaching the rules of the Motor Vehicles Act, ruling party people using beacons and hooters, fertiliser distribution, Rs 50 lakh scam in Chief Minister’s discretionary fund were the issues echoed in the State Assembly during the question hour. House proceeding was adjourned till 12 noon by Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar. There was a face off between Opposition leaders and Agriculture Minister over the issue of fertiliser shortage and its unfair distribution. State Agriculture Minister Edal Singh Kansana clarified that there is no shortage of fertiliser in the State. He said, “There are queues due to overcrowding at some shops. The number of shops is being increased at such places. Where there are two shops, now four will be started, so that the lines could be shorter. “At the same time, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar attacked the Government and said, “Farmers are wandering from door to door for fertiliser across the State.
The Agriculture Minister is not able to see anything. The minister does not see the long lines being formed in the State, it is clear that the Government is not concerned about the farmers, he added. Coming out with startling revelation, former minister Jaivardhan Singh alleged that Rs 50 lakh scam in Chief Minister’s discretionary fund-Financial Assistance for Health (Swechchhanudan). He alleged that the Bhopal City Hospital operating in Guna district was a fake hospital, which was issued assistance of about Rs 50 lakhs in ten months. This hospital was operating from 19 July 2024. Fake bills were raised by operator Rajesh Sharma using the identity of many people. He said, “The people in whose name the money was withdrawn, they themselves said in the video that neither they were admitted, nor did they get any help.” The former minister revealed that the very next day after he raised the question. A letter was issued to shutdown the hospital on April 4, 2025, despite this, the hospital was given an amount of Rs 80,000, Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 75,000.
The Health Minister’s reply also
admitted that during the investigation, Bhopal City Hospital did not exist in Guna. In an another question raised by Congress MLA Sachin Yadav pointing towards defying rule by public representatives as some of those were using hooters on their vehicles. With this, once again the hooter controversy is in the news in Madhya Pradesh. Despite the clear orders of the Supreme Court and the ban under the Motor Vehicles Act, many MLAs and ministers are seen reaching the assembly with hooters. Not only this, they have been mentioned on the nameplates of their vehicles as well, violating the designation. However, there are some public representatives who are following the rules honestly. Congress MLA Yadav said on this issue, “If a rule has been made, then we should follow it. If we ourselves do not follow the rules, then what advice will we give to others?” Meanwhile, the State’s Transport Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh also said, “Clear rules have been made to prevent violation of hooters and Motor Vehicles Act. Challan action is taken against those who do not follow the rules. ” The question is that when both the court and the government are talking about following the rules, then why do some honourables still not hold back from breaking the rules? Public representatives are expected to set an example, but this attitude seems to be in contrast with the order.
MLA Sharma takes jibe at Congress
BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma took a jibe at Congress and said, “Congress itself has become unemployed in the whole country, that is why it is now having to demand employment”. Sharma said, “Congress’s position has become ridiculous in the whole country, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It is neither in the service of the people nor in power, it is a party that has become completely unemployed.” He stressed, “The Madhya Pradesh Government is continuously running the recruitment process. Whether it is police recruitment or other departments, recruitment is being done for about one lakh posts and more recruitments will be done in the coming time.”
