In a tribute to one of Chhattisgarh’s most celebrated literary voices, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will release Main Chhattisgarh Bolta Hoon, the final poetry collection of Padma Shri awardee and renowned satirical poet, late Dr Surendra Dubey. The unveiling will take place on the poet’s birth anniversary, August 8, on Friday, at Maharaja Agrasen Auditorium, Samta Colony, Raipur, under the aegis of Dr Surendra Dubey Foundation. Described as a powerful reflection of the cultural essence and identity of Chhattisgarh, the anthology comprises poems that capture the region’s ethos through humour, satire, and lyrical depth.

It is said to be Dr Dubey’s creative testament-one that bridges his literary maturity with his unwavering commitment to social concerns. According to the foundation, Main Chhattisgarh Bolta Hoon represents Dr Dubey’s enduring message for future generations to remain rooted in their cultural identity and to find voice through language and expression. His literary legacy, they stated, continues to inspire not just Chhattisgarh but the entire Hindi literary fraternity. “The ceremony is expected to be a confluence of literary excellence and cultural pride, honouring a poetic voice that truly spoke for Chhattisgarh,” said the organisers of the event.
