Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the nation to “Buy and Sell Indian Goods”, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) jointly with Swadeshi Jagran Munch launched a nationwide campaign from August 8 at Bal Gangadhar Tilak statue Gandhi Sagar lake, to promote indigenous products. The decision was taken at a two-day National Traders Conference held in New Delhi.
CAIT National President B C Bhartia, stated that all participating trade leaders unanimously described the Prime Minister’s appeal as a symbol of India’s identity and decided to name the campaign - “Indian Goods – Our Pride”.
Dhananjay Bhide of Swadeshi Jagaran Munch sharing the importance of campaign said it will leverage social media, posters, rallies, and public interactions to spread awareness.
Rajkumar Gupta, President Team CAIT Nagpur highlighted the reasons behind supporting the Prime Minister’s call. A large number of traders were present.
