TT Nagar police arrested a 21-year-old man accused of attempt to murder a local youth last month over a long-standing dispute related to parking. The arrest was made on Thursday, just ahead of Raksha Bandhan, as part of efforts to ensure public safety during the festive period.
On July 16, complainant Aman Khan was attacked near Gamen Mall India by Narendra Raikwar, Nilesh Rajak, and others.
The group allegedly assaulted him with a knife, leaving him with serious injuries on his arm, thigh, head, and fingers. The attack was reportedly motivated by a previous conflict over parking. A case was registered under sections 109(1), 296, 115(2), 351(3), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). During investigation, it was found that one of the accused, Sandeep Ahirwar, had gone into hiding.
Under the direction of senior officers,
TT Nagar Station House Officer Gaurav Singh Daur formed a police team to trace the absconding accused.
Acting on a tip-off, the team arrested Sandeep Ahirwar, a resident of Journalist Colony, Panchsheel Nagar. He was produced in court and sent to Central Jail. Police confirmed that
Sandeep has four prior criminal cases registered against him in various police stations in Bhopal. His arrest is part of the city police’s larger strategy to ensure peace and order during the festive season.
