Shri Ganesha, Oh God of wisdom! 
With devotion in heart we welcome
Your idols that emanates fragrance of soil 
That speak of the sculptor’s toil.
Your arrival brings a wave of happiness
Clears the mind of all heaviness.
This year, I make a special prayer, 
So that we listen as you desire, 
For all of us to live a healthy life 
By protecting our environment, 
By protecting lakes and rivers. 
Not a jazzy show and decorations 
For your idol, but pure vibrations, 
No flowery words to offer, only prayers,
Bestow upon us power of good intentions.
With your blessings, may we choose 
Less ego and more wisdom 
More strength when the times comes. 
Oh remover of obstacle, 
Bless us all what Vedas say, 
May we see auspiciousness like your eyes do
May we listen auspiciousness like your ears do.
Oh Guardian of Mercy! Reform us, 
To fulfill what we you made us for
Help us justify this birth.
