GRP Jabalpur team nabbed two thieves involved in several theft incidents with passengers and recovered stolen mobile handsets and jewellery from them in separate cases. The arrested have been identified as Nathuram Barman alias Natthu (30), son of Babulal Barman, resident of Shahpura Bheetoni and Kamlesh Choudhary (20), son of Ghanshyam Choudhary, resident of Chamarauti Mohalla, Kotwali, Katni. According to GRP Jabalpur, continuing a special campaign against anti-social elements at railway stations, GRP Jabalpur nabbed Nathuram Barman alias Natthu. On interrogation, he confessed to stealing a mobile phone from a sleeping passenger at Platform No. 6. Police recovered the stolen mobile handset worth Rs 12,000 along with SIM card.
 
His arrest warrant were also executed and considering his past criminal record, he was taken into custody for investigation in other theft cases. In another case registered under Sections 304(2), 305(c) BNS, a juvenile in conflict with law was apprehended with stolen property including a ladies’ purse and gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 1,02,000. Further, accused Kamlesh Choudhary (20), son of Ghanshyam Choudhary, a resident of Chamarauti Mohalla, Kotwali, Katni, was arrested and produced before the court who was absconding in cases registered under Section 403 IPC and 380 IPC. Against Nathu Varman (25), son of Babulal Varman, a resident of Sheetalpur, Shahpura Bheetoni, Jabalpur was absconding in a case registered under Sections 379, 201 IPC. The thieves were apprehended with active working of police team led by SHO Sanjeevani Rajput comprised of Head Constable Rajendra Markam, Ramniwas Ojha, Satyendra Singh, Arun Tiwari, Devendra Mishra, Shailendra Chandel, Parmatma, Constables Sanjit, Ravikant, Parshuram, Gopal, Rahis and Umesh.
