The District Administration, under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, organized a special health camp as part of its “Project Dhadak” initiative. The program’s primary objective is the early detection and provision of free, quality treatment for congenital heart disease in children. The camp, led by Collector Dr Gaurav Singh, was held at Anganwadi Center No. 24 (Subhash Chowk) and Center No. 25 (Azad Chowk) in Birgaon. A total of 144 children were screened, with 46 from Subhash Chowk and 98 from Azad Chowk. Fortunately, no symptoms of congenital heart disease were found in any of the children tested. The medical staff conducted examinations based on symptoms associated with congenital heart conditions, including a fast heartbeat, lack of weight gain, a bluish tinge to the skin, frequent colds and coughs, breathing difficulties, and sweating during feeding. The camp was a success due to the support and expertise of nurses and officers from Sathya Sai Hospital.
