India’s growth

“As India takes rapid stride in growth and development, other nations in the world are green with envy and getting unnecessarily worked-up. Some countries are afraid that in case India rises in stature, their status might diminish and hence they are using the weapon of tariffs to strike at our development,” averred Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghachalak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), while speaking on Friday at the seventh anniversary of The Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya’s Jamtha-based Vishwashanti Sarovar Training Centre. At the same time, the RSS chief advised country’s leadership not to balk under pressure.

Instead, he emphasised, India must rediscover its innate strength and guide the world towards peace and harmony. Several senior functionaries of Brahmakumari from its Mount Abu Headquarters, including Rajyogi Mrutyunjay, Additional General Secretary; Rajyogini BK Santosh Didi, Joint Chief Administrator; Rajyogini BK Usha, Life Management specialist; and Rajyogini BK Sharda Didi, National Co-ordinator were prominently present for the programme. Reflecting on global conflicts, Dr Bhagwat observed that the root of most disputes is the ego and the possessive attitude of Swa (myself).

He explained that when individuals and nations shift this mindset towards ‘we and ours’, many crises would naturally dissolve. Taking an indirect swipe at international trade wars, Dr Bhagwat remarked that fear of another’s growth leads to protective tariffs and policies. “But when we truly understand that all belong to one human family, these fears lose meaning,” stated the Sarsanghachalak. Dr Bhagwat also underlined that India has historically possessed the wisdom to offer solutions to the world’s challenges. “Our ancestors taught us the eternal truth that beyond the body lies the immortal essence. As a nation, India has always recognised itself as more than just territory, it is a civilisation with a responsibility to fill gaps when humanity forgets unity and soul-consciousness,” he stated. Quoting the ancient verse Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, he urged Indians to live by this principle in both spirit and action.

“India has always been abundant, not because of material wealth, but because of its richness of values. What is needed now is for Indians themselves to embrace that abundance,” he added. Appreciating the work done by Brahmakumaris, he said that their work is not only for the welfare of the individual but also for the entire nation and, ultimately, for the world. The RSS, he added, also advocates self-realisation as the foundation of character.

Rajyogini Usha Didi, in her address, stated that the Brahmakumaris have same dedication towards nation building as that of RSS. She also appreciated the members of Brahmakumari family for staying away from addiction of any kind while calling them a spiritual army that is ready to serve at one call. She also expressed confidence that no one will be able to stop India from becoming ‘Vishwaguru’ if RSS and Brahmakumari work together. Santosh Didi also echoed the sentiments in her address. She stated that Brahmakumaris will work together with RSS to make India a ‘Ram Rajya.’ Rajyogi Mrutyunjay made the introductory remarks, while Rajni Didi propsed a vote of thanks.
