Patan police have arrested two accused involved in the theft of agricultural equipment and a tractor battery from a warehouse in Nunser and for purchasing stolen goods. The recovered stolen items are valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh, along with Rs 20,000 in cash obtained from selling stolen items and the auto used in the crime.
The arrested have been identified as Lucky Sahu (22), son of Sanjay Sahu, resident near ITI Madhotal and Mukhtar Ahmed (59), resident of Gazimia Maidan, Gohalpur. SHO of Patan police station, Gopendra Singh Rajput informed that, on September 9, 2025, Ramdas Patel (45), resident of Nunser village lodged a complaint that his warehouse named Om Shiv, located on Padaria Road, had been broken into. He had travelled to Nepal from August 29 to September 6, 2025. Upon returning, he found that two tractor batteries, tractor parts, agricultural tools, electrical cables, CCTV monitor, inverter and inverter battery and rotavator machine shaft and chain were missing.
Patan police had registered a case under Section 305 A BNS.

Investigating the case, police analyzed CCTV footage and identified an auto MP-20R-5609 near the scene. The driver, Lucky Sahu, confessed to breaking the warehouse lock and stealing the items. He admitted keeping the tractor batteries and selling the remaining items to scrap dealer Mukhtar Ahmed.
On his identification, police raided Mukhtar Ahmed’s premises, where he admitted purchasing the stolen goods. Other items, including submersible pump motors, starters, and various agricultural tools valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh, along with Rs 20,000 in cash, were recovered. The accused were apprehended with active working of police team led by SHO Gopendra Singh Rajput comprised of Chowki In-Charge Nunser, SI, Vipin Tiwari, ASI, Dal Singh, Head Constables Rupesh Lodhi and Gautam and Constables Raghavendra Singh, Raja and Devendra.
