THE MKM Kho Kho Premier League’s second season logo was unveiled by MLA Sandeep Joshi at a grand ceremony at a city hotel.
The league is organised by Maharashtra Krida Mandal and will feature six teams including MKM Defenders, Kings Chhatrapati, Rajmudra Warriors, VDL Flyers and Orange City Lions. During the ceremony, Joshi praised the organisers for their initiative in promoting kho kho.
He expressed concern over the declining audience in stadiums and emphasised the importance of spectator appreciation in encouraging players.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Babanrao Taywade, President; Sachidanand Education Society, Pallavi Dhatrak, Deputy Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports; Vijay Datarakar, Executive President, Maharashtra Gramin and Sambhaji Bhosale,
Sports Director, Nagpur University. Pallavi Dhatrak congratulated organisers and also assured of support by providing the mats for the matches. Dr Padmakar Charmode, President, Maharashtra Krida Mandal gave presentation. The programme was anchored by Vaibhav Kumbhare. Sachin Deshmukh proposed a vote of thanks.
