The Aero Fabrication Club of IIITDM Jabalpur successfully organised its much-awaited RC Glider Competition ‘Udaan 2025’, with great enthusiasm and participation. A total of 29 teams, each comprising four second-year students, designed and built their own RC gliders from scratch in just two days a first-time hands-on aeronautics project for many participants. The competition was held over two days.

 

On Day 1, students underwent Technical Inspection, including design, dimension, and glide check of their gliders. On Day 2, the programme began with a visit from the Institute Director Professor Bhartendu K Singh, followed by the final flying rounds, where all 29 teams flew their self-designed gliders one after another. The grand finale concluded with an air show of indigenously designed drones by the club members, leaving the audience thrilled. The event was guided by the Faculty In-charge of AFC, Dr Akshay Pandey (CSE Department), and co-ordinated by students Chetan, Shashaank, and Rohit.
