MAKING a strong pitch for swadeshi goods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said, “This is the season of festivals, and we must remember the mantra of Swadeshi and incorporate it into our lives.” Addressing a rally in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister said, “Over the past 11 years, welfare of the poor and improving their lives has been the Government’s highest priority. “We are carrying forward the legacy of Maa Ahiliya, who championed the Maheshwari weaving tradition establishing a centre for royal patronage and handloom industry. She developed the textile industry in the region.” The park is part of the Prime Minister’s 5F Vision; Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, and Fashion to Foreign, which seeks to integrate India’s textile value chain. “I congratulate the entirety of India for these development works, especially Madhya Pradesh,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The Prime Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the country’s first PM MITRA Park in Bhainsola village of Dhar district.
