NCP (Ajit Pawar) can become 2nd largest party in Vidarbha after BJP, thunders Ajit Pawar at
‘Chintan Shibir’ held in Nagpur on Friday
“We joined hands with Mahayuti with a special purpose. It is not for power or position. We wanted to contribute to the stability and progress in Maharashtra. With the power we can serve people in a better manner. People of our party should come out of comfort zone and endeavor to strengthen the party in Vidarbha,” appealed Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister and President of Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar). He was speaking during the party’s convention — Chintan Shibir — organised at Empress Palace at Nagpur on Friday. Ajit Pawar has also indicated that if hard efforts are taken, NCP can become second party in Vidarbha replacing Congress
NCP had organised the convention for the first time where the stalwart leaders like Ajit Pawar, Working President Praful Patel, Maharashtra President Sunil Tatkare, Senior leader Dilip Walse Patil, ministers Chhagan Bhujbal, Dattatray Bharne, Narhari Zirwal, Aditi Tatkare and others spoke in various sessions. Around 500 people including MLAs, MLCs, district office bearers attended the convention.
Ajit Pawar was a bit aggressive during his speech. He warned ministers, office-bearers to take party instructions seriously else they should relinquish the post.
Ajit Pawar pointed out, “We have allotted posts of Guardian of the party for the districts. These guardians are expected to take care of respective districts. Always remember, you have to take local leaders of the party with you whenever you visit their districts. We have to strengthen party in a planned manner.”
Praful Patel said, “We are with the parties like BJP and Shiv Sena in Mahayuti. BJP is a national and bigger party. In Mahayuti we have to maintain our importance, dignity and our uniqueness.”
NCP was formed long ago with a plan and it has earned a name where the party workers are called the
most disciplined. It was echoed
during the convention that party
is committed to earn its name as it is different.
In Vidarbha, except Congress and BJP, no party could establish its dominance. But Congress is suffering due to factionalism, against that backdrop, NCP (AP) is aiming to replace it in Vidarbha. Ajit Pawar in his speech indicated it.
In this Chintan Shibir 10 zones were formed led by top leaders of the party. These zones have been given names of the forts in Maharashtra and had given subjects. For example Shivneri was led by seniormost leader Dilip Walse Patil. The subject of this zone was ‘Constitution, Democracy and Federal System’. The party office-bearers were asked to discuss the issues in a larger perspective.
NCP City Working President Shrikant Shivankar said, “We have been asked to make a separate arrangement for this discussion as Ajitdada wanted to organise this convention in a different manner. Our Observer Rajendra Jain, State President Sunil Tatkare constantly monitored the arrangement.”
Nagpur Observer Rajendra Jain, City President Anil Ahirkar, City Working President Shrikant Shivankar, District President Baba Gujar, Abha Pandey, Prashant Pawar, Tanaji Wanve, Vishal Khandekar, Janba Maske and others worked hard.
