Cardion Friends Sports Academy (CFSA), Chankapur clinched the Matchup Football Tournament 2025 title, held at Joggers Park. In the final, Cardion Friends Sports Academy, Chankapur defeated Midland FC 3-1 with their superior teamwork and attacking flair.

 

Aayush Kesari, Tanmay Khandelwal and Mohd Zoeb Sheikh scored the goals for Cardion Friends Sports Academy, Chankapur while for Midland, Aryan managed to find the back of the net. Sixteen clubs including Junior FC, NDFA Boys, Arshu FC, Midland FC, Khadan FC, Fantastic FC, Wardha FC, Chinwara FC, Cardion Friends Sports Academy, Chankapur; Warora FC, Alpha FC, Team SIU, Blitz FC, Aakar FC, Katol FC, and Wani FC took part in the seven-a-side football tournament. Midland, Alpha, Blitz, and Khadan progressed to the semi-finals after closely fought last-eight encounters.

 

In the semi-final, Midland defeated Blitz 4-1, with Aryan scoring a brilliant hat-trick, while Cardion Friends Sports Academy Chankapur overpowered Khadan FC 3-0, with goals coming from Geet Harinkhede, Tanmay Khande and Manav Simon. Aryan (Midland FC) was named Player of the Tournament for his consistent brilliance throughout the competition. The event was successfully organised by Anmol Shendre, Aditya Singh, Pushkar Yeole and Tirth Baghele, who ensured smooth conduct of the matches at Joggers Park. The winning team was coached by Nitin Tigga and led by captain Fawwaz Syed. The other members of squad include Ravi Roka, Manav Simon, Aayush Kesari, Zoeb Sheikh, Krishna Dixit, Geet Harinkhede, Tanmay Khandelwal, Divyanshu Khobragade and Imran Ansari.
