Staff Reporter :
Bharatiya Janata Party has organised a seminar on the occasion of birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and ongoing Seva Pakhwada at party’s divisional office. Addressing the gathering, State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh said that the ideals of Indian culture, dharma, nationalism and the principle of Antyodaya (welfare of the last person) were central to Deendayalji’s vision of making India a world leader. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to build a developed India by 2047 can be realised by imbibing these very ideals, which would be the true tribute to Deendayal Upadhyay. Singh termed Pt.Deendayal as a man of simple living, high thinking and firm determination.
He was not only a brilliant student, organiser, writer, journalist and thinker, but also a true humanitarian whose concern always lay with the poorest and weakest sections of society. Rejecting both capitalism and socialism, Deendayal proposed the philosophy of Integral Humanism, rooted in moral values and social ethics, said Singh. He added that for Pt. Upadhyay, politics was a medium of public service and he believed that every political leader must first act as a servant of the people.
The state minister underlined that Pt. Deendayal emphasised a self-reliant economic model, promoting indigenous industries while remaining open to global innovations.
He envisioned small-scale and local industries as the backbone of India’s economy, combining cultural harmony, discipline and national policy.
Singh also recalled that former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee followed Deendayal’s footsteps to promote good governance and rural development. Today, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, the nation’s march toward self-reliance through the Vocal for Local campaign is a reflection of Deendayalji’s thoughts. In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister
Dr. Mohan Yadav’s government is working with the same Antyodaya spirit to further public welfare. MLA Ashok Rohani also addressed the seminar, highlighting Deendayal’s personality and contributions. BJP District President Ratnesh Sonkar, in his welcome address said that the concept of Antyodaya and cultural nationalism put forward by Deendayal had laid the foundation of a strong and self-respecting nation.
