Currently, a depression over south interior Odisha is moving westward towards Chhattisgarh and is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area.
This system, along with a trough extending across Telangana and North Interior Karnataka, is fuelling the
ongoing rainy weather. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation is predicted to form over the north Andaman Sea around September 30, possibly giving rise to a new low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal by early October. Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue across Madhya Pradesh, especially in western, central, and southern districts.
Heavy rainfall is likely in Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, and Pandhurna, with very heavy rain possible in Khargone, Barwani, and Dhar. In Bhopal, the last 24 hours were dry, with no rainfall recorded until morning. However, evening saw scattered drizzling in the city. The maximum temperature was 33.2°C, slightly above normal.
