Shantakka, Pramukh Sanchalika, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, on Sunday remarked that “Today’s young generation is vigilant and raising its voice against injustice, which is welcome. But to express unrest by damaging public property is not the right way.” She was speaking at the Vijayadashami Utsav of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, held at the Maharshi Vyas Hall, Reshimbag.
Referring to ongoing tensions in Nepal and Ladakh, she cautioned the youth to resist destructive expressions of anger and instead embrace character building for the nation’s future.
Shantakka observed that violent acts such as self-immolation and arson harm both society and the individuals involved. She stressed that India’s youth possess immense strength but require guidance to channel it towards constructive goals.
“It is through disciplined and value-driven young citizens that India can emerge as a true world leader,” she said.
The event began with traditional Shastrapuja and vibrant demonstrations of physical drills, lezim dance, and martial exercises by the Sevikas, symbolising discipline, courage, and cultural continuity. The chief guest was Kemisha Soni of Indore, President of PGFM and former Central Council member of the world’s second largest accounting regulator. She underlined the importance of women’s contribution to economic growth, noting that India’s path to becoming a five trillion dollar economy would be hastened if women worked alongside men in equal measure.
On the dais were also Annadanam Seeta, Pramukh Karyavahika, and Karuna Sathe, Mahanagar Karyavahika.
In her wider reflections, Shantakka lauded India’s economic rise, noting its capacity to respond firmly to American tariff wars, compete with China, and preserve strong ties with Russia.
She praised India’s
democratic ethos, where
power transitions occur peacefully without violence, strengthening the nation’s credibility on the global
stage.
The programme concluded with a collective resolve to pursue ‘Swadeshi’ practices during Navratri, with the Samiti reiterating its commitment to empowering women, nurturing youth, and fostering a disciplined, Atmanirbhar and united Bharat.
