Ex-boyfriend stabs woman, suspect absconding

 

A young woman was critically injured in Bhopal’s Kolar area on Monday night after her Ex-boyfriend allegedly attacked her with a knife. The 22-year-old victim has been admitted to a private hospital, where her condition is reported to be serious. The suspect, identified as Sonu Sen, has been absconding since the incident, and police teams are actively searching for him. According to police, the attack took place in the Kajlikheda area of Kolar. After the assault, the injured woman was found bleeding on the road. Locals and the police promptly rushed her to the hospital. Kolar police have registered a case of attempted murder against Sonu Sen. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Malkit Singh stated, “Late Monday night, police received information about an injured woman.

 

She was immediately taken to the hospital and her statement was recorded, based on which an FIR has been filed against the accused.” Police investigation has revealed that Sonu and the victim were in a relationship since 2019. That year, Sonu had allegedly abducted the woman from Berasia, after which her family filed a complaint. Sonu was arrested and sent to jail in that case, and he had been released on bail just a few days ago. While Sonu was in jail, the victim’s family brought her home and told her to stay away from him. According to Police Station In-Charge Sanjay Soni, Sonu called the woman on Monday night on the pretext of talking. A heated argument ensued between them, and Sonu suddenly attacked her with a knife, stabbing her multiple times. The accused fled the scene. Multiple police teams have been deployed to search for and apprehend the absconding suspect.
