Income Tax Department carried out a major operation in Bhopal on Tuesday morning. A team raided the Science House Group building located in Gautam Nagar. Raids were conducted at multiple premises linked to Jitendra Tiwari, owner of Science House Medicals Private Limited, Shailendra Tiwari, Mohan Sharma and Rajesh Gupta. According to information received, this income tax raid was conducted at the premises of Rajesh Gupta, a medical surgical goods trader. The Gautam Nagar-based Science House Group building houses Rajesh Gupta’s office. A team from the department also reached his home in Panchwati Park, Lal Ghati. A large security force accompanied the team there as well. A team from the Income Tax Department raided the Science House Group building located in Gautam Nagar. According to information received, it was also conducted at the premises of Rajesh Gupta along with Tiwari, a medical surgical goods trader.
 
A team from the department also reached Gupta’s home in Panchwati Park, Lal Ghati. As a convoy of five vehicles and a group of security personnel reached to the spot, curiosity among locals pop up seeing many vehicles and CRPF personnel early in the morning to their locality. This raid in the city is a part of department’s co-ordinated search operations at around 30 locations across several cities, including Indore and Mumbai targeting prominent businessmen engaged in the medical equipment supply trade. Raids were conducted at multiple premises linked to Jitendra Tiwari, Shailendra Tiwari, and Mohan Sharma, following allegations of unaccounted wealth and suspected connections with bureaucrats and middlemen. It is being reported that raids were also conducted at the premises of those who supply medical equipment to the trader. This includes Jitendra Tiwari, Shailendra Tiwari, and Mohan Sharma. Possibility of involvement of a senior IAS officer and a broker can’t be ruled out.
 
Till the report was filing, the team was examining documents and records inside the building. Computer operator and Software engineers were also interrogated in this regard. The raid unfolded simultaneously across various locations connected to Tiwari family in past too. All members of the Tiwari family became accused in this massive operation by EOW. Its directors include Sunaina, wife of Shailendra Tiwari and Anuja Tiwari, wife of Jitendra Tiwari. M/s Cinco India’s Mahesh Babu Sharma. All the accused belong to the same family but they had formed three different companies. It was revealed from the seized documents and hard disk. The EOW had received information about the documents related to the purchase during the investigation of the accused’s residence and office in Gautam Nagar, Bhopal. Computer hard disk was also seized. The investigation revealed that the accused had supplied medicines and equipment to the Anuppur CMHO office at higher rates.
