Nagpur City boys reign supreme
 
 
NAGPUR City boys emerged champions while girls finished third in the 35th Vidarbha State Sub-Junior Kabaddi Championship that concluded in Nagpur on Sunday. With aggressive tackling and excellent catching, Nagpur boys won the title. In the semi-final, Nagpur City boys played excellently and defeated Amravati City 41-36 points. In the final, Nagpur beat Amravati Rural 59-42 points for the title.
 
The winning team included Nishikant Kawale, Rudra Bharre, Pratik Sisode, Umesh Singh, Shreyash Sathe, Aaom Thute, Manav Gahukar, Shantanu Mankar, Shreyash Rangari, Himanshu Watkar, Kartik Borikar. Rohit Navghare was the coach and Chaitanya Khedkar was the manager. In girls semi-final, Nagpur City lost to Wardha. For the third position, Nagpur City defeated Nagpur Rural 15-14. This team consisted of Ankita Adagale, Chetna Sonawane, Purvi Shewale, Unnati Varhade, Arushree Khare, Payal Thakre, Priyanka Uike, Akshaya Wadibhasme, Manvi Nagdeve, Diksha Sontakke, Khushi Nimbalkar. Vikrant was the coach while Akshay Thawkar was the manager. The winning teams got prizes at the hands of Ganesh Choukse, Shirish Kale and Girish Gadge. The programme was moderated by Uttam Thakre and Vasanta Deothakale proposed a vote of thanks. Bhavesh Bharre, Ajit Bharre, Pankaj Shende, Karan Nagmote, Abhay Kuthe, Tilak Thakre worked hard to make the event a success.
